History

Spanish explorers reached the present-day United States. Did you know that the first confirmed landing in the continental US was by a Spaniard, Juan Ponce de León, who landed in 1513 at a lush shore he christened La Florida. Throughout three decades of Ponce de León's landing, the Spanish transformed to a the originalEuropeans to revery the Appalachian Mountains, the Mississippi River, the Grand Canyon and the Wonderful Plains. Climate

It is noted that the United States is known to be affected primarily by air masses that blow southward from Canada, north- and eastward from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and westward from the Pacific Ocean. Within winter cold blasts of Arctic air create his or her presence felt in the northern parts of the country.
